Our first report on Lifebelt!

Before we started our cross-country road trip, we installed a LIFEBELT device in our Durango in exchange for a sponsorship. My father and I, along with Mr. Bergmann's help from Tony & Sons Auto Repair, installed the device in a approx. 45 minutes. Overall, it's a pretty simple installation. The goal of LIFEBELT is to make the driver and occupants use their seat-belts whenever the automobile is in motion. The LIFEBELT system prevents the engine from starting unless the drivers seatbelt is buckled. So your probably thinking, what if you unbuckle it after you start the car. If this happens the radio will shut off and an alarm will play until the seatbelt is once again buckled.

We have been using this device for the last 2 weeks, and have found many great things about it. The system works just as stated above.

Overall, LIFEBELT is working great. It ensures that both the driver and passenger are buckled. I recommend everyone should use this device, cause there can always be that one time you forget to buckle. I especially recommend this device to put in teenagers car. If the parents install this in their son or daughters car, it ensures them that they are always wearing there seatbelt, especially when teenagers love to listen to music and driver.
